Starting from the four sevens, play cards that continue each suit up or down. Empty your hand first to win. No playable card means you pass — but only three times. A fourth pass loses the game.
It grew from the European "domino" family of card games, known in Britain as Fan Tan or Parliament. As playing cards spread through Japanese homes in the Shōwa era, it became a staple alongside Daifugō.
Hold the blockers. If you hold a 6 or an 8, sitting on it stops the suit and burns your opponent’s passes. Block too much and you seal your own exits, so count their remaining passes as you choose what to hold.
