Bid on hidden dice. Catch the lie.
Both players roll five dice under a cup. Take turns raising bids — "there are at least four 3s on the table" — and call "Doubt!" when you think it is a lie. The loser gives up a die; lose them all and you lose.
It descends from "Dado" in the Andes, and is known across Chile and Peru as Dudo — Spanish for "I doubt." Pirate films carried it to the rest of the world.
Play the odds. Any unseen die shows a given face about one time in six. When a bid runs well past that, call it. Slide your bids toward the faces you actually hold and you can apply pressure without ever lying.
